About SolarDecide
SolarDecide is Nigeria's independent solar decision engine. We help homeowners and businesses determine the exact solar system size they need — with unbiased calculations backed by real Nigerian data.
Our Mission
Too many Nigerians overpay for undersized solar systems — or buy oversized systems they don't need. Unscrupulous installers exploit the knowledge gap, and buyers have no reliable way to verify quotes.
SolarDecide closes that gap. Our free online calculator uses the same engineering formulas that professional solar installers use, applied to Nigerian-specific data: NERC electricity tariffs, NiMet peak sun hours by state, and current market prices for components.
We believe every Nigerian deserves access to honest, accurate solar information — free of charge, free of bias, free of sales pressure.
How We're Different
- Independent: We are not affiliated with any solar brand, installer, or distributor. Our recommendations are based purely on your data.
- Data-driven: Every calculation uses verified Nigerian data sources — not generic global assumptions.
- Transparent: Our methodology is public. You can verify every formula we use.
- Free: The calculator is free to use, unlimited times, with no registration required.
