By using SolarDecide ("the Service"), you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

SolarDecide provides free online tools for estimating solar energy system requirements for homes and businesses in Nigeria and West Africa. Our tools include:

• Solar system size calculator (inverter, battery, panel sizing)
• Fuel cost calculator
• Generator vs solar cost comparison tool
• Appliance power checker
• Educational blog content

2. Disclaimer — Estimates Only

All calculations, sizing recommendations, and cost estimates provided by SolarDecide are approximations for informational purposes only. They are not professional engineering advice.

• Actual solar system requirements may differ from our estimates based on site-specific conditions (roof orientation, shading, structural capacity, local regulations).
• Component prices are based on market surveys and may not reflect current prices from specific dealers.
• Energy consumption estimates depend on user-provided inputs and may not reflect actual usage patterns.

Always consult a qualified solar installer for a professional site assessment before purchasing any solar equipment. SolarDecide is a planning tool, not a substitute for professional advice.

3. Lead Matching Service

If you choose to submit your contact details for solar installer quotes:

• Your information will be shared with verified solar installers in your area.
• Installers may contact you via phone, SMS, or email regarding your solar enquiry.
• SolarDecide does not guarantee the quality, pricing, or availability of any installer.
• Any agreement between you and an installer is a separate contract that does not involve SolarDecide.

4. Installer Credit Program

For solar installers using our lead credit system:

• Credits are pre-purchased and non-refundable once leads are delivered.
• Each credit corresponds to one verified lead (name, phone, email, location, solar requirements).
• SolarDecide does not guarantee lead conversion rates.
• Lead quality complaints must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the calculator by entering intentionally false data
• Attempt to access admin endpoints or other users' data
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service beyond normal usage
• Submit spam, abusive, or inappropriate content through the contact form
• Interfere with the Service's operation or security

6. Intellectual Property

All content on SolarDecide — including text, calculations, code, design, and blog articles — is the intellectual property of SolarDecide. You may share links to our content and reference our data with attribution.

7. Limitation of Liability

SolarDecide is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:

• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
• We are not liable for any losses resulting from reliance on our estimates or recommendations.
• We are not liable for the actions, quality, or reliability of any solar installer connected through our Service.

8. Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or factors beyond our control.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
